Our story starts with a simple belief

everyone deserves hope, encouragement, and a reminder that even one light can make all the difference.

WHO WE ARE

The Aydan Horton Foundation was founded in 2026 by 15-year-old Aydan Horton of Cobbs Creek in Southwest Philadelphia. The foundation was created from a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and reminded that there is always a reason to keep one light on.

Our Approach

Awareness, Connection, and Community Impact

Inspiring Conversations

Creating Space for Honest Discussions

We believe meaningful change starts with conversations. Through speaking events, community programs, and outreach initiatives, we create spaces where people can talk openly about mental health, resilience, decision-making, and the challenges many face every day.

Education That Creates Change

Our programs focus on providing relatable conversations that connect with people where they are. By combining personal experiences, education, and encouragement, we help break the stigma surrounding mental health and remind people that asking for support is a sign of strength.

Youth mental health challenges continue to rise, with suicide remaining one of the leading causes of death among young people. Our mission is to break the stigma, encourage conversations, and remind every person that their life has value and their story matters.
